The Society for Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration (KGH) The Society for Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning (KGH) was founded in 1970 in Belgrade. The Serbian Society for Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning gathers engineers and technicians of thermal engineering and associated fields, who are engaged in the implementation of heating, refrigerating and air-conditioning systems within the Union of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers and Technicians of Serbia (SMEITS), for the purpose of advancing the profession, improving quality of life and protecting the environment. The Society is a professional, scientific, non-party and non-governmental organization based on voluntary association of engineers and technicians, in cooperation with other similar organizations and economic entities. With regard to its organization, the Society is one of the members of the Union of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers and Technicians of Serbia (SMEITS), which has a capacity of a legal entity. The idea of founding a separate society for this engineering field occurred in 1970 during the preparations of the seminar on high pressure air-conditioning, which was a technological innovation in Europe at that time. The first president of the Society was Mr. Milorad Urosevic, a professor of heating and ventilation at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Belgrade. Congress The first professional convention organized by the Society for Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning took place in 1970, in the hall of the Civil Engineering Centre of Belgrade, titled «Seminar on High Pressure Air-Conditioning and Automatic Control». There were over 120 participants, which was the maximum capacity of the hall, and they came from all parts of ex-Yugoslavia. On that occasion a proposal was made to organize such conference each year. Thus, conventions on heating, refrigeration and air-conditioning became a tradition, and in time these seminars grew into domestic and then international congresses. At the very first convention in 1970, several companies displayed their products, prospectuses and catalogues, and in time this form of displaying HVAC&R accomplishments drew more attention. The exhibition of HVAC&R equipment and accomplishments, as integral part of the congress, became increasingly popular and, gradually, it gathered more and more domestic and foreign exhibitors. This year we are expecting 150 exhibitors. Journal «KGH»
The idea of staring a journal „KGH“ (Klimatizacija = Air-Conditioning, Grejanje = Heating, Hladjenje = Refrigeration) was born shortly upon the first convention of Society for KGH in 1970, and the first issue was published in 1972. The journal has been published to date. The publishing of the first issues of the journal was supported by the Refrigerating Equipment Factory «JUGOSTROJ» of Belgrade.
The journal «KGH» is a scientific and professional publication in the field of air-conditioning, heating and refrigerating, and it is published quarterly (February, May, September, November).
Publisher of a journal “KGH” is Serbian Union of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers and Technicians (SMEITS).
Over 100 sponsors, Serbian and foreign companies, participate in the publishing of this journal, wherein they have excellent support in marketing their products and services.
