Prof. Marija Todorović elected an ASHRAE Fellow Print

A member of the Board of Directors of the Society for Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning, Professor Marija Todorovic, Ph.D., was elected an ASHRAE  Fellow at the Annual Meeting held at the end of June 2009 in Louisville (USA).

This high recognition was awarded to Professor Marija Todorovic for many years of her involvement in ASHRAE as the Vice President for student activities at ASHRAE Region at Large, which includes the countries of the South-East of Europe, Mediterranean region, the Near and Middle East and India.

This annual recognition  is awarded to ten members out of over 55,000 ASHRAE members worldwide. Prof. Marija Todorović is the third member of the Serbian Society for Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning who has been awarded this recognition, after prof. Branislav Todorović (1995) and Živojin Perisić (1999).

 

 

In the explanation of the decision, it is stated that Marija Todorovic has been elected an ASHRAE fellow for:

„She has attained distinction in the arts of thermal engineering sciences, within energy efficiency and renewable energy sources/technologies relevant for sustainability of heating, refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and energy supply of sustainable buildings, settlements and industries – crucial for approaching sustainable social development generally. Her inventive studies (from cost effective solar drying to ultra efficient data centers), engineering systems and prototypes design, testing and optimization did provide producers with numerous products, engineering with design methods, and students worldwide with new advanced knowledge. By lecturing extensively and working active as member of ASHRAE and other international organizations her efforts make substantial impact worldwide.”
