The lecture was attended by over 70 people, who showed a great interest in the presentation titled “Trends in Building and Energy Simulation”( from the cycle "Future Trends in Buildings and Energy Simulation, EnergyPlus, DOE's New Generation Building Energy Simulation. Program, Impacts of Climate Change and Urbanization on Future Building Performance")

The results of the conducted poll (requested by ASHRAE) showed that the audience exceptionally liked the topic and Mr. Crawley’s presentation. The lecture was consecutively translated along with a discussion in which several persons participated.

Because of flight ban in Europe due to the volcanic eruption in Iceland, Mr. Crawley could not leave Belgrade as planned and he stayed in Serbia until 24th April, which was an opportunity to organize two more lectures in which he presented his experience on energy efficiency of buildings, buildings with low and zero energy consumption, simulations and use of EnergyPlus program and other programs for design of energy efficient buildings.

In cooperation with the company Energetika from Kragujevac, Professor Milorad Bojić organized a lecture on 21st April for the members of the ASHRAE Student Branch at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Kragujevac (Centre for Heating, Air-Conditioning and Solar Energy), which was attended by 30 students and interested engineers, who also took part in a discussion that followed.

In Novi Sad, our colleague Aleksandar Anđelković from the Department for Energy and Process Engineering of the Faculty of Technical Sciences, in cooperation with ASHRAE Student Branch of the University of Novi Sad, organized a lecture on 23rd April which was attended by about 70 people - professors, students and other guests. A vivid discussion followed.

The entire programme of visiting ASHRAE lecturers in Greece (Athens), Romania (Timisoara) and Serbia (Belgrade, Kragujevac and Novi Sad) was organized by Professor Marija Todorović in the capacity of the President of the Technology Transfer Committee of the ASHRAE Danube Chapter.
