DAIKIN presents innovations to designers Print

A traditional meeting of the representatives of the Japanese company DAIKIN with designers was held on 3rd June 2008 in the picturesque ambience of the hotel Vila Breg in Vršac. DAIKIN representatives presented to designers their latest innovations accomplished in the well-known VRV system with variable refrigerant flow, for which this company has become famous.

The lecturers were Mr. Michael Fischlein, Mr. Heissig and Mr. Michael Galuska. The seminar was attended by more than 40 designers from the entire Serbia.

Mr. Fischlein acquainted the audience with the organization, history and business philosophy of the company, which, similar to an ancient temple, has a base consisting of a constant ecological development and equipment upgrading, with pillars consisting of air-conditioning, heating, refrigerating and applied systems, which support the roof – a success of the entire company.

Mr. Heissig talked about the new equipment from the DAIKIN’s manufacturing line and its characteristics, focusing on details interesting for design and selection of specific equipment.

Most innovations were accomplished in the new generation of VRV III system, and they were presented by Mr. Galuska. The systems were developed as to operate only with their internal units of standard split systems. This was achieved by placing an expansion valve for refrigerant (for 1, 2 or 3 units) into a special box (BP-box), through which a communication with the external unit is achieved.

By increasing the revolution rate of the scrol compressor by means of an inverter, the compressor capacity follows the increase of the building’s cooling load during the summer season from +35oC to 43oC.

The new generation of VRV IIICR system, a heat pump with R-410A, inverter and twostage compression were developed for operation in cold climate regions (up to –25oC). The new technology enables the heat pump capacity to keep to the increase of the building’s heat load, and therefore there is no heating interruption during defrosting.

The seminar participants were presented a commercial catalogue and a CD with technical data and computer program for equipment selection.
