The exhibition of equipment and accomplishments accompanying the Congress on Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning continues to break records as for the scope and number of domestic and foreign exhibitors and visitors. The exhibition was held in the Sava Centre in Belgrade in the period from 5th to 7th December 2007, concurrently with the 38th congress. Facts Yes, the exhibition of equipment and accomplishments within the 38th Congress on heating, refrigerating and air-conditioning held from 5th to 7th December 2007 in the Sava Centre in Belgrade has taken its course and has beaten all the records: 159 stands on more than 1200 m2 of the exhibition area. However, structure and spatial distribution of exhibitors have not significantly changed, although this year we had exhibitors from 5 more Serbian towns (31 exhibitors from 22 towns). It is time something was changed in favour of the equipment manufacturers, whose share is still under 20%. This outcome was evident from the start, on a welcome cocktail in the Sava Centre organized by GRAPPA of Belgrade, the representative of CARRIER, a famous manufacturer of air-conditioning equipment from the USA. The cocktail was organized on the gallery, in the hall of the Sava Centre, announcing, with its formal yet friendly atmosphere, that this congress would be successful and well-visited. During the three days it was swarming with people, and according to many people, this year’s exhibition was seen by far more visitors, in addition to those who attended the congress (the congress hall was full!). Patron of the exhibitionThis year the exhibition had its patron - BELGRADE POWER PLANTS, public utility Company for generation and distribution of heat and electrical power. New exhibitors The record number of new exhibitors (30) is very encouraging, and there were more domestic equipment manufacturers: KIRKA SURI, a renowned manufacturer of boilers from Belgrade, SMEEO from Belgrade, a manufacturer of boilers for quick steam production, then ELMA, a manufacturer of panel steel radiators from Velika Plana, PIRECTECH from Belgrade and IMPULS from Croatia, two new manufacturers, IGUMANOV from Belgrade, presenting automation for “intelligent buildings”. S.W.A.T. was the first exhibitor from Montenegro who presented compact refrigerating units of GOODMAN from the USA, TERMOMATIK, manufacturer of air filters from Novi Sad, TEHNODOM from Croatia with LICON convectors, VENTICO from Belgrade with distribution elements for ventilation and air-conditioning, GAS LIDER from Vrčin, GEBERIT from Belgrade, with multilayer and stainless steel pipes and fitting, which endured 130 bar pressure on daily hydraulic tests performed on the exhibition stand, RETIG from Austria, with VOGEL & NOOT panel radiators, JUREN from Italy with the air-conditioning equipment manufactured by RHOSS, Italy, etc. New products We noticed new products at many exhibition stands. VIS COMPANY from Zemun displayed attested fire prevention caps in “explosion proof” execution, FENIKS BB from Niš presented heat meters made by ACTARIS (France), TERMOPART from Belgrade displayed Venturi balance valves, ENERGYNET from Kać, ROBUR gas heaters and solar collectors, MPG KGH from Belgrade presented its COPERLAND’s compact condensing unit, BOMEX MB PRESTING from Belgrade displayed recuperators of heat from ventilation exhaust air, KOMO YU from Belgrade exhibited valves with pneumatic actuators, CINI from Čačak presented its new towel dryers and radiators in different colours, BEOHAMEX from Belgrade displayed photovoltaic collectors, AVIT from Novi Sad presented its new series of DYNAIR (Italy) ventilators, TEKON INVEST from Belgrade exhibited air-conditioners manufactured by HUIER (China), and STEELSOFT from Belgrade, presented attractive air-conditioning units LG (South Korea). In addition to the floor heating equipment, REHAU displayed cables for electric floor heating and solar collectors, SOBEL from Belgrade exhibited the complete equipment required for electric floor heating, DAIKIN from Belgrade exhibited the high-efficiency heat pump with the complete ancillary equipment for family buildings, for which this company received the Special Diploma, OMORAC from Belgrade presented the units for pressure maintenance in the installations of the company EDER (Germany), mountings HERZ (Germany) and equipment for floor heating manufactured by TECE. Heating substations were exhibited by TEHNOENERGETIKA from Kruševac, TRACO from Belgrade and RAREX COMPANY from Belgrade, which received the Special Diploma for its substation with built-in heat meters on branches. Secondary Events Additional crowds were also made by some exhibitors who, during the congress breaks, organized meeting with their business partners, servicemen and distributors (VAILLANT, ENERGYNET, JOHNSON CONTROLS), but also by students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Niš, whose visit was organized by professor Blagojević (FENIKS BB). The exhibition was also visited by the thermal engineering students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Belgrade with their professors and teaching assistants.
